*Everyone is invited to a bicycle safety training event*
*What: “Traffic Skills 101 Intro”. *
This class is normally a two day course taught by the League of American
Bicyclist. We are lucky to have League certified instructors coming to
Happy Trails to teach the course and participate in an on-road skills
practice ride. This intro will trim down to 4 hours.
- 90 minutes of classroom in the Manzanita Room.
- 30 min break for lunch. The Waterhole will sell sandwiches for $5 and
drinks for $1.50.
- 45 minutes of hands-on bicycle safety check, bike maintenance, flat tire repair, and helmet fit.
- 10 min break
- 90 minutes of on-road practice riding. We have a 15 mile route planned that meets the criteria outlined by the training course.
NOTE: An on-road support vehicle will be provided for anyone who does
not want to ride the that many miles.

*Why: *This class will give you the confidence to ride safely and
legally in traffic or on the trails.
*Registration and Lunch: *The class is free to everyone.
The Chuck Wagon will make sandwiches that can be purchased at the Water
Hole for $5.00.
In order to get an accurate count for lunch and requirements for support
vehicles on the road, *please contact us by end of day Wednesday,
February 25* if you plan to attend.
